Like most rural towns in Georgia, Jeffersonville had been fraught with “flight” from the downtown business district. With waning population and historic buildings falling into disrepair, the City leaders wanted to re-capture a bustling and vibrant business district.
T.LAKE in concert with community leaders proposed a vibrant urban design that would encourage residential and commercial revitalization. The design included a park and tree-lined streets to encourage community events and retail therapy.
As a result of this project, two new businesses have committed to space in the business district, and others have already started façade transformations on existing storefronts.
