JOB OPENING: CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

General Responsibilities

Construction Foreman directs all construction activities at the job site in accordance with pre-established schedules, specifications, and procedures established by Company policy and by the specific direction of the Project Manager. 

Excellent working knowledge of hardscape, irrigation, drainage and landscape construction techniques along with experience in the use of the tools, equipment and materials used to accomplish the work is essential. The ability to coach and lead a work team of 3 to 5 people to produce a quality job within the time and costs allotted is essential.

Major Activities include:

• Participate in pre-construction conference when possible
• Offer practical advise pertaining to the various project schedules and budgets
• Organize, direct, and request the proper equipment needed for timely project completion
• Organize, direct, and request needed personnel and subcontractors for timely project completion, with assistance from the Supervisor
• Continually review project progress, cost, schedules, and demands to complete
• Determine and recommend changes in methods, schedules, and procedures and improve where necessary
• Maintain close working relationship with Supervisor to ensure proper delegation of responsibilities
• Ensure proper paper flow to and from the office
• Continuously trains and evaluates the personnel under his direction

Compensation

In addition to a competitive salary ($16.00 to $22.00 hr), we offer 401k retirement, paid holidays, personal holidays and vacation — as well as opportunities for holiday and merit-based bonuses.

Expected working hours – 40-50 hours wk
