Kim is retiring and moving to the beach! So, T.Lake Environmental has an immediate opening in our Dublin office for a Controller. This is a full-time position with flexible hours. General office hours are Monday through Thursday full day and Friday until noon.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A T. Lake Controller is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting as well as managing company’s cash flow and financial ratios.
Additional key deliverables include:
- Assist with ensuring consistent implementation of company processes, policies and systems
- Coach, recruit and develop staff reporting
- Compliance with governmental and general business matters
- Manage critical business functions/areas, such as: HR and benefits, business insurance, banking relationships, IT and all file systems (digital and paper)
General responsibilties will include:
- Management of Accounts Payable to Company standards
- Management of Accounts Receivable to Company standards
- General ledger work
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Recording financial transactions
- Manage and/or process payroll & maintenance of employee records
- Reporting any irregularities in data to management
- Maintaining financial reports and consistency of data within ASSET software
- Ensure accurate job cost data
- Monitor financial trends and provide timely reporting to CEO and managers
Principal accountabilities include:
- Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
- Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
- Tag and monitor fixed assets
- Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
- Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
- Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with any debt covenants
- Issue invoices to customers
- Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government
- Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts ensuring accuracy
- Maintain the petty cash fund
- Issue financial statements
- Provide information to external accountant for tax reporting and strategy as well as financial statement preparation
- Assemble information for external auditor’s annual audit
- Calculate and issue financial analysis of each financial statement
- Maintain orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain chart of accounts
- Maintain annual budget
- Calculate variances from budget and report significant issues to management
- Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Are you qualified? Ideal candidates should possess:
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Proven experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
- Bachelor of Accounting or related degree
- Experience within 5-10 million dollar enterprise (preferred)
- Service or construction-industry experience (preferred)
COMPENSATION
Salary target is $50,000 to $60,000. We offer paid holidays, personal holidays and vacation — as well as opportunities for holiday and merit-based bonuses.
